Get Rid of Bad Hair Days: Fix Up Habits For a Healthier Hair

Did you know that our scalp is an extension of our facial skin? And it’s actually more delicate and fragile! Just as soil fertility affects crops’ growth, the health of our scalp directly impacts our hair condition, so everything we know about hair, we have to think back at it and rediscover how we wash, dry, curl, and brush our hair. Sometimes little care goes a long way and can fix long-standing hair problems that Dashe Beauty hai treatments can’t.

Rediscover: How to Wash Hair

Firstly, brush out any tangles before washing. Use a Wooden/Bamboo Hairbrush to detangle. Always wash your hair with lukewarm water. Wet the hair and scalp thoroughly before shampooing. Use a pH-optimized shampoo and spread it all over the palm to avoid a lot of shampoo in one spot on the scalp, and it helps create a lather! Massage the scalp with your fingertips. Avoid scratching it with nails as it hurts the scalp! Rinse off the shampoo thoroughly to prevent any residue build-up over time. Squeeze out the excess water before applying the conditioner/hair mask.

Use the conditioner most days, but apply a Molecular Repair hair mask when doing treatments. Hair masks should be done 1-2 times a week or when needed. This hair mask is great! Apply it from the middle to the end of the hair, not on the scalp. Squish the conditioner/hair mask into the hair to help it absorb better. Detangle gently and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing off.

Side note: cleanse the back (again) after washing off the conditioner/hair mask to prevent back acne! Squeeze out as much water as possible. Wrap the hair with a hair towel as it is gentle on the hair and reduces drying time. Stop rubbing hair with a towel to prevent damage.

Rediscover: How to Dry Hair

Start by detangling the hair and applying hair oil/hair serum. Spread it evenly through the palms and apply from the middle to the end of the hair. Use an ionic hair dryer because it helps to reduce frizziness!

Dry hair upside down when aiming for a more voluminous look, or just use a Bombshell Volumizer and finish by brushing hair with a soft smoothing brush attachment.

Rediscover: How to Curl Hair

Divide the hair into two sections (top and bottom) for easier styling. For the left side, start with the clamp facing front, turn the curler anticlockwise until the clamp is facing front again, hold for a few seconds, then release the curl by twisting the curler out. Turn the curler for another round while pulling it downward with the clamp slightly released. Repeat the steps until reaching the end of the strand.

Now, the first strand is curled; leave it aside and do not brush it out yet to let the curl set. For the right side, start with the clamp facing towards the back, turn the curler anticlockwise for one round, hold for a few seconds, then release the curl by twisting the curler out. Turn the curler anticlockwise for another round while pulling it downward with the clamp slightly released. It might look complicated at first, but it will be mastered after a few rounds of practice! Let’s go through it again! Turn the curler anticlockwise until the clamp returns to its starting position, hold for a few seconds, then release it by twisting the curler out. Turn the curler anticlockwise for another round while pulling it downward. Keep repeating the steps until all of the hair is curled.

Always leave the curls aside to let them set, and don’t forget about the bangs! Now, the curling is done, and it’s time to brush out the curls with your fingers. Touch up the roots for more volume, and set the curls with hair spray on hand

Conclusion

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, each person has approximately 100,000 hair follicles on their scalp, regardless of ethnicity. So stimulate the scalp whether with your hand or a bamboo brush because it really helps the oil penetrate the hair follicle so much better. When you start doing scalp care for the first time—when you start using scalp exfoliant, doing massages, and oiling—it is very normal to start losing hair. Your hair has a cycle. A lot of us just have all those dead hairs sitting on our scalps at all times, and once you start doing this, it’s getting rid of all those dead hairs. It’s going to grow new ones that are actually way stronger.
