Today’s current trend of the summer season inspired us to create this sun-kissed, fresh-off-the-beach glam makeup. In our summer makeover, we focus on colors and apply products that enhance your natural glow to complement the brightness outside, so you can feel vibrant from the inside. To start off with the summer makeover, firstly preparing your skin is important. Serums go a long way because it’s extremely lightweight, so whether you’re in a humid climate or running errands in the sunshine, it won’t feel heavy so apply the Miracle Serum on the face. It contains niacinamide and it smooths, brightens, and reduces inflammation. Plus, it has hyaluronic acid, which helps retain and deliver moisture.

You can go ahead and apply some oil to the chest and shoulders for a radiant glow.  While it’s great for the face to look dewy and highlighted, extending that healthy sheen to the shoulders really pulls everything together.

You can use a primer on the nose, chin, and forehead. This helps minimize pores and makes the makeup last longer, especially if your skin tends to get oily around the nose.

Now that the skin is prepped, apply the new LA Girl PRO Conceal in Shade that suits you as a foundation; use just a small amount in the center T-zone and blend it with a makeup sponge. One thing to note: this concealer can do the job if you’re looking for full coverage, but it may not be the most practical choice. You’d be better off using a full-coverage foundation and then using the concealer for contouring and under-eye concealing. 

Here’s a little trick for those of you who don’t like using powder: take a powder puff and press it into the areas where you want to reduce shine. There’s no powder on the puff, but the fabric helps absorb excess oil without adding more product. It works like a charm!

Get Sun-Ready:  Summer Skincare Blush and Highlighter

Now, moving on to bronzer and blush, use Root Touch-up Highlights in the shade Dark Brown and apply it to the highest points of her face. Just like with the blush and bronzer, enhance the pigments we laid down earlier. This highlighter really makes your skin pop—it gives the highlight an extra boost of brightness that finishes off the look beautifully. Apply in tapping motions, rather than dragging or buffing it in, to avoid disturbing the products we’ve already blended.

Now, onto the eyes. use the deeper-toned concealer we used for contouring and buffing a small amount onto the upper eyelids, almost like a liquid eyeshadow. This adds a sheer wash of color and creates a nice base for the eyeshadows we’ll use next.

For eyeshadow, let’s take a shade from the URBAN DECAY Eyeshadow Primer to set the liquid concealer and add depth to the look. The great thing about this eyeshadow step is that it doesn’t need to be perfect, and you don’t need to spend ages blending, making it beginner-friendly.

Moving on to brows, use CODE Mono Brow in the shade of light brown or anything that suits you. This gives a light to medium hold, so if you’re aiming for a laminated brow look or have coarse, curly brows, it might not be strong enough. But for today’s look, it’s perfect. Then, use the pencil with a light hand to extend the tail of the brows and fill in sparse areas, creating a polished, clean look.

For lips, start with a Juicy Lip Liner in the shade Brown to trace the borders. A nude shade complements the beachy, sun-kissed aesthetic we’re going for— The lip color is simple, timeless, and low-maintenance.
