How to tell if a salon uses genuine OPI
Ask to see the bottle. Genuine OPI bottles have a specific shape, a printed (not sticker) label, and a batch code on the bottom. The brush is flat and wide. If the polish is decanted into a different container or the bottle looks different from what you see on the OPI website, it may not be authentic.
Counterfeit OPI is common in Kuwait. The price difference between genuine and fake is significant, and the performance gap is even larger. Fake OPI chips faster, applies unevenly, and may contain ingredients that are not safe for regular use.
