Hair Extensions Cost in Kuwait Salons
Hair extension pricing in Kuwait ranges widely, and the variation confuses clients who are trying to compare. One salon quotes 150 KD. Another quotes 500 KD. Both claim to offer quality extensions. The difference is not arbitrary. It comes down to the quality of the hair, the method of application, the number of pieces used, and the skill of the technician.
This is a breakdown of what drives extension pricing, so you know what you are paying for before you book.
Hair quality is the biggest factor
The single largest cost component in any extension service is the hair itself. There is an enormous quality range in extension hair. At the bottom, synthetic hair costs very little and looks artificial within days. In the middle, non-Remy human hair is real but the cuticles are not aligned, which means it tangles and mats over time. At the top, Remy human hair has cuticles aligned in the same direction, which gives it natural movement, shine, and longevity.
At Dashe, we only use 100% Remy human hair. It costs more upfront, but a set of quality Remy extensions can be reused across multiple application cycles, which brings the cost per wear down significantly compared to cheaper hair that needs replacing after one cycle.
Method affects price
Tape-in extensions use pre-made wefts and take about an hour to apply. They are the most affordable method because the application time is short. Micro-ring and keratin bond methods attach individual strands, which takes three to five hours and requires more technical skill. Sew-in methods involve braiding the natural hair and stitching wefts onto the braids, which also takes several hours.
More application time means a higher service cost. This is not upselling. It reflects the actual labour involved.
Number of pieces matters
A client who wants subtle volume might need 40 to 60 tape-in pieces. A client who wants dramatic length and fullness might need 150 to 200 individual keratin bonds. More pieces means more hair, more application time, and a higher total cost. The right number depends on your natural hair density and the look you want, which is why the consultation matters.
What the consultation covers
At Dashe, every extension client starts with a consultation. We assess your natural hair’s condition, density, and texture. We discuss the look you want, recommend the best method, and give you a specific price quote that accounts for everything: hair, application, and the first maintenance appointment. No surprises.
We also colour-match the extensions to your natural hair or your current colour, which sometimes requires ordering a specific shade. This is why we recommend booking the consultation at least a week before your application appointment.
Maintenance costs
Extensions require maintenance appointments to move them up as your natural hair grows. Tape-ins need this every six to eight weeks. Micro-rings and keratin bonds every three to four months. Each maintenance appointment has its own cost, which we provide upfront during the consultation so you can budget for the full cycle, not just the initial application.
