Microblading in Kuwait: Before You Book
Microblading is a semi-permanent technique that creates hair-like strokes on the brow area using a handheld tool with fine needles. The pigment is deposited into the upper layers of the skin, not as deep as traditional tattoo ink. The result looks like natural brow hairs rather than a block of colour.
How it works
The technician first maps the brow shape by measuring facial proportions and discussing the desired look with the client. Once the shape is agreed on, the skin is numbed with a topical anaesthetic. The microblading tool is then used to create individual strokes that mimic the direction and thickness of natural hairs.
The first session takes about two hours. A touch-up session is needed four to six weeks later to fill in any areas where pigment has faded during healing.
How long it lasts
One to two years, depending on skin type. Oily skin tends to fade the pigment faster. Dry skin holds it longer. Sun exposure and skincare products containing retinol or acids can also shorten the lifespan.
The healing process
Immediately after the session, the brows look darker and sharper than the final result. Over the next 7 to 10 days, the colour softens and the strokes settle. The area may feel slightly tender and may form light scabbing. Do not pick the scabs, avoid water on the brows, and skip makeup on the area until healing is complete.
The true colour and final result are visible about four weeks after the first session, which is when the touch-up is scheduled.
Who should not get microblading
Microblading is not recommended for clients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, on blood-thinning medication, undergoing chemotherapy, or who have skin conditions affecting the brow area. If you are unsure, consult with the technician before booking.
