Cleanliness is the baseline. Sterilised tools, fresh linens, and clean treatment rooms are not extras. They are requirements. Beyond that, look for specialist staff who are trained in the specific treatment you want, not generalists who do everything.

Ask about products. A spa using recognised professional skincare brands will deliver different results from one using generic or unbranded products. Ask about session length too. A “facial” that lasts 20 minutes is a different service from one that lasts 60 minutes, even if both are called the same thing.
