Microblading in Kuwait: Cost and Duration

Brows and Lashes

Microblading has become one of the most requested treatments at Dashe over the last two years. Most of the questions we get before booking are the same: how much does it cost, how long does it last, does it hurt, and what are the brows going to look like in the days after the appointment. This is a clear answer to all of those, written by the brow team at Dashe Beauty in Yarmouk who perform the treatment every week.

What it actually is

Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo for the eyebrows. A trained specialist uses a small handheld tool with a row of very fine needles to deposit pigment into the upper layer of the skin in tiny strokes that look like individual hairs. Done well, the result is brows that look fuller, more defined, and completely natural. Done badly, it can look blocky, too dark, or unnaturally shaped, which is why the choice of specialist matters more than the choice of salon.

The technique is different from traditional eyebrow tattooing. Traditional tattoos go deeper into the skin and last permanently, but they tend to fade to a blue or green tone and they cannot replicate the look of hair strokes. Microblading sits closer to the surface, fades naturally over 12 to 18 months, and creates strokes that follow the direction of your natural brow growth.

What it costs in Kuwait

Microblading in Kuwait ranges from around 80 KWD at the lower end to over 250 KWD at the high end. The variation reflects the experience of the specialist, the quality of the pigments, the equipment, and whether a touch-up appointment is included in the price.

A reasonable mid-market price for a properly trained specialist using high-grade pigments and including the six-to-eight-week touch-up sits in the range of 150 to 200 KWD. Anything significantly below that should make you ask questions about the pigments and the training. The pigments matter. Cheap pigments fade unevenly and can shift colour as they break down.

At Dashe, microblading is performed by specialists who have completed certified training programmes, and the price always includes the initial appointment and the follow-up touch-up. We do not offer microblading as a discounted service because the work requires the time and care to do it properly.

How long it lasts

The result lasts between 12 and 18 months for most clients. Some skin types hold the pigment longer, particularly drier skin. Oily skin tends to break down the pigment faster, sometimes within 9 to 12 months, because the natural oils push the pigment out of the upper skin layer.

After the initial period, the brows do not disappear all at once. They fade gradually, which means most clients book a refresh appointment around the 12-month mark to top up the strokes that have started to soften. A refresh is faster and less expensive than the original treatment.

What the healing weeks look like

This is the part most clients are unprepared for, so it is worth setting expectations clearly.

Day 1 to 3: The brows look much darker and bolder than the final result. This is normal. The skin is freshly worked, the pigment is sitting on the surface, and there is some natural redness and slight swelling. You should not panic during this stage, though most people do.

Day 4 to 7: A light scab forms over the brow area and begins to flake off naturally. Do not pick at it. The pigment underneath is still settling. The brows can look uneven during this stage as different sections heal at slightly different rates.

Day 7 to 14: The scabbing finishes. The brows often look very light at this point, sometimes patchy, because the body has shed the surface pigment along with the scab. This is also normal. The pigment in the deeper layer is still there.

Week 4 to 6: The colour returns and stabilises. By the end of week six the brows look the way they will look for the next year.

Week 6 to 8: The touch-up appointment. We assess any areas where the pigment did not take as well as expected and we add additional strokes where needed.

What you should not do during healing

No swimming, no sauna, no steam, no direct sun, no exfoliating products around the brow area for at least two weeks. No makeup on the brows themselves until the scabbing has completely finished. No sleeping face down. Avoid sweating heavily for the first few days if possible.

These rules sound restrictive but they exist because the skin needs to heal cleanly for the pigment to set well. Clients who follow them get noticeably better results than clients who do not.

Who it suits

Microblading suits clients who want fuller-looking brows but do not want to draw them in every morning, who have over-plucked brows from years past, or who have sparse brow growth in certain areas. It does not suit clients with very oily skin (the pigment fades faster), clients on certain medications that affect bleeding, or clients with active skin conditions in the brow area.

A short consultation before booking is the right way to find out whether it suits you. At Dashe we never proceed with a microblading appointment without first checking your skin, your brow shape, and your goals. The consultation is part of the brows and lashes service.
