Keratin Treatment in Kuwait: Full Guide
Keratin treatments are the most requested smoothing service in Kuwait, and for good reason. The combination of humidity, hard water, and daily air conditioning makes frizz a persistent problem, and keratin addresses it directly. But before booking, most clients want to know what it costs, how long it takes, and whether their hair can handle it. Here are the answers.
What determines the price
Keratin treatment pricing in Kuwait varies based on three factors: hair length, hair density, and the specific keratin formula used. Short hair takes less product and less time. Long, thick hair requires significantly more of both. The formula matters too. Premium formulas from professional brands cost more but tend to last longer, smell less during application, and produce a more natural result.
At Dashe Beauty, we give a firm price quote during the consultation, after we have seen and assessed the hair. We do not publish a single flat price because it would either be too high for short hair clients or too low for long, thick hair clients, and neither situation is fair.
The treatment process
A keratin treatment at Dashe follows a specific sequence. The hair is washed with a clarifying shampoo to remove product buildup and open the cuticle. The keratin solution is then applied section by section, combed through to ensure even distribution, and left to process for a set period depending on the formula.
After processing, the hair is blow-dried and then sealed with a flat iron at high temperature, section by section. The heat activates the keratin and locks it into the hair shaft. The entire appointment takes between two and four hours depending on hair length and thickness.
Aftercare rules
After a keratin treatment, the hair must not be washed, tied up, or clipped for 48 to 72 hours, depending on the formula. This waiting period allows the keratin to fully set. Getting the hair wet too soon can create dents or waves that are difficult to fix.
Once the waiting period is over, switch to a sulphate-free shampoo. Sulphates strip the keratin out faster, which shortens the life of the treatment. At Dashe, we recommend and stock sulphate-free shampoos from brands we trust, and we will tell you which one pairs best with the formula we used on your hair.
How long it lasts
A well-applied keratin treatment on healthy hair lasts between three and five months. Hair that is washed daily will see the treatment fade faster than hair washed every two to three days. Using the right aftercare products makes a meaningful difference to longevity.
Who should not get keratin
Keratin is not recommended for hair that is severely damaged, heavily bleached, or breaking. Applying a smoothing treatment to already-compromised hair can make breakage worse. In these cases, we recommend a protein treatment first to rebuild the hair’s internal structure, and scheduling the keratin four to six weeks later once the hair is strong enough to handle it.
Pregnant and breastfeeding clients should also discuss the treatment with their doctor before booking, as some formulas contain ingredients that may not be suitable.
