How to Remove Dead Skin from Heels
Cracked heels happen when layers of dead skin accumulate on the heel edge and dry out until they split. In Kuwait, the problem is more common because of open-back shoes in summer and constant movement between cold indoor air and outdoor heat.
The treatment is not complicated, but it requires consistency. One session will not resolve months of buildup.
At-home method
Soak your feet in warm water for 15 minutes. After soaking, use a foot file on the thickened areas. Do not overdo it: if the skin turns pink or you feel sensitivity, stop. Dry the feet and apply a thick moisturiser containing urea (10% to 25%). Urea helps break down dead skin and prevents it from building up again.
Repeat once or twice a week. For deep cracks, apply the cream before bed and wear cotton socks overnight. After two weeks of consistency, you will notice a clear difference.
Avoid metal blade-style removers. They strip skin aggressively and trigger the body to produce thicker skin as a defence response.
Professional treatment
A specialist pedicure addresses cracked heels with professional-grade files that remove thickened skin more precisely. At Dashe, we use graded files and work layer by layer rather than trying to remove everything at once.
For severe cases, we recommend two sessions spaced two weeks apart, with a daily moisturising routine at home between sessions.

Caring for Your Skin in Kuwait’s Climate
Kuwait’s combination of high temperatures, dry air conditioning indoors, and humidity outdoors creates specific challenges for skin care. Hydrating products need to be lightweight enough for the heat but rich enough to counter indoor dryness. SPF is essential year-round, and products with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, or ceramides tend to perform well in this climate.
Professional facial treatments complement a daily routine by addressing issues that products alone cannot fix. Deep cleansing, extraction, chemical peels, and LED therapy each serve a different purpose and work best on a regular schedule. At DASHE Beauty, the skincare team evaluates your skin before recommending a treatment plan, and adjusts it seasonally to account for changes in weather and humidity.
